It is time that people change and accept us.
That is the sentiment of 25 year old Lora Nayasa whose husband Luke is HIV positive.
Lora who has been married to Luke for four years, is HIV negative along with their one year old son.
Speaking to Fijivillage at a workshop to educate church leaders from around the region, Nayasa said that the discrimination and stigma they faced as a couple was the hardest battle she encountered since meeting him in 2009.
She said that it was an uphill battle for her since marrying Luke four years ago.
She said that it was their faith in God that keeps them going.
Luke who has been living with HIV for the past 10 years, lost his first wife and son to HIV and now is an advocate for HIV positive people in the country and is the driving force as well for FJN+.
It has also been revealed that Fiji has a total of 354 reported cases of HIV with about half or less than half of that number alive today.
