If you are living on the Western side of Viti Levu and wish to continue to watch free to air television, you have to get a Walesi set-top box and the recommended UHF antenna before next Sunday as TV broadcasters have to cease their analogue TV transmission services and switch to Walesi’s digital platform.

According to a statement from the Government, families earning less than $30,000 annually are eligible to receive a free Walesi set-top box.

People can apply through the Walesi website or any Walesi customer care outlets, located in Suva, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, and Rakiraki.

The areas affected are from Deuba to Natadola and Matawalu Village in Lautoka to Natovi in Tailevu.

Walesi CEO Sanjay Maharaj says while the Walesi teams have carried out extensive door-to-door customer visitations in these areas over the last two months, the company will be deploying additional roadshow teams from this Saturday in targeted areas to ensure this transition is as smooth as possible.
