A post mortem has been conducted in relation to the 24-year-old naval officer who died three days ago and the cause of the death was due to injuries sustained as a result of the welding accident.
Police confirmed that the deceased while welding at the Fiji Naval Base in Walu Bay, was trying to cut open a drum when it exploded.
Investigation continue.
