The water level in Vunitogoloa Village, Rakiraki has started to recede.

According to villager Josefa Waqabaca, the rain has stopped but they are still listening to weather updates to keep themselves informed.

He says rubbish is lying around their village, inside the village hall and even in the church and the final cleanup is expected to be done tomorrow if the weather changes.

Meanwhile, a Flood Warning remains in force for flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of the Nakauvadra River, Penang River, Yaqara River, Nasivi, Qawa, Nakorotari and Nasekawa Rivers.

According to the Nadi Weather Office, a Flash Flood warning remains in force for all flash flood-prone areas, small streams and low-lying areas of Northern and Western Viti Levu, from Nadi through Ba, Rakiraki to Nausori.

A Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for Western and Northern Viti Levu from Nadi through Ba, to Rakiraki till Nausori, the interior of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca group.

The Nadi weather office says a Flash Flood Alert remains in force for all flash flood-prone areas, small streams and low-lying areas of the rest of Viti Levu and for low-lying and flood-prone areas of Vanua Levu.
