Thousands of residents in parts of Tacirua, Colo-i-Suva, Princes Road, Nasinu, Kinoya and Vatuwaqa are facing water issues.

Water Authority of Fiji says the areas affected are all feeding from Dokanaisuva - Seventh Day Church Dokanaisuva to Tacirua Fijian School, Vunuleba Settlement, all feeding from Coloisuva - Naisogo, Colo-i-Suva Crest Chicken, Princes Road, Marshall Road, Taqairua, Vunikawai, Uluibeka, Colanaivau, Valesasa, Naitaqiri Nillgrey, Public Rental Board, Vasant Lal, Bryce Street, Tulele, Kaloa, Lower Caubati, Kinoya, Caubati, Manohan, Center Point, Laucala Beach, Nokonoko Road, Koka, Kinoya Road, Vasant Lal, Vesivesi, Fletcher Road and Mukta Ben Road.

WAF says this is due to low inflows at the Waila water intake which has resulted in the reduction of production levels and is currently causing low levels.

They are saying customers in affected areas are urged to store sufficient amounts of water, while it is available.
