Residents of Lami, Veisari and Delainavesi say water cuts have become part of their lives now as they have been facing intermittent water supply for over a month.
Delainavesi resident Pita Nikotimo raised concern that sometimes children miss school and adults are not able to go to work due to water cuts.
Nikotimo said it is not about being complacent, it is just that this is happening so often, it is way beyond being a problem.
A resident of Veisari Jasie told Fijivillage yesterday that her children are suffering from skin and other diseases due to frequent water cuts as they use water for bathing and washing from the nearby river as there are no water trucks carting water in their area.
Water supply spokesperson Maika Nagalu is expected to comment in the next hour as he is still trying to get information from engineers.
