Indiscipline has cost the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women from getting a three-peat in the Super Rugby Women’s final after getting 3 yellow and 1 red card in their 50-14 loss to the NSW Waratahs this afternoon.

Yellow cards were shown to Adita Milinia, Asinate Serevi and Jennifer Ravutia receiving two.

The Tahs ran in 8 tries to the Drua’s 2 in a one sided affair at Ballymore.

There is a reason the Tahs are top of the table and that is because of their clinical plays and crisp passes whereas the Drua women were dropping balls cold.

Every time they built up some phases and took the ball up to the Tahs 5 metre line they would just knock it on in contact.

While the Drua played well in the first half to trail the Tahs 17-7 going into half-time they really could not keep that momentum going in the second half as they were down to 14 and even 13 players for most of the time.

The Drua fly back tomorrow before they put their hands up for selection into the national side for the World Rugby Oceania Tournament next month where they will go up against Samoa, Tonga and Papua New Guinea.

The winner of the Oceania Tournament directly qualifies for the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup in England.
