Vodafone is urging all its customers to be vigilant about some fake messages being sent around by scammers in the form of SMS, Viber, Whatsapp, Facebook or other social media platforms to scam people for money.

They have sent out messages advising MPAiSA users to be careful not to be tempted by some messages requesting to send money to get rich quickly.

Vodafone says these schemes or investments are illegal.

They are also urging customers to always verify a person’s ID by calling them before sending money to their personal number.
