The Vanua of Vuda is now awaiting the home coming of their late Chief, the Tui Vuda and Former President Ratu Josefa Iloilovatu Uluivuda at the Chiefly village of Viseisei.
The men of Vuda are currently putting the finishing touches to the chiefly burial ground or the "sau tabu" called the "Burenivalu" where Ratu Iloilo will be laid to rest on Thursday.

Meanwhile a delegation from the University of Fiji, Westpac Banking corporation as well as Beachcomber Island Resort, Fiji Meats Limited and officials from the Sugar industry this morning presented their I reguregu to the people of Vuda this morning.
At the moment, the "Bati Liganikau" or the traditional warriors of the Tui Vuda are keeping a watch that all traditional protocols are followed and once the time nears for Ratu Iloilo's body to arrive, then they will change into their traditional attire.
It is understood that the warriors will don masi and carry war clubs and paint themselves black as a sign of respect to their late high chief.
