Value City’s new outlet to employ 30 people
Managing Director Vera Chute

Value City will be opening its new complex in Suva next month that will see 30 new jobs created.

Managing Director Vera Chute says Value City Regal located at Regal Building on Victoria Parade, Suva will have two floors of shopping area.

She says they have had to suffer through three crisis which includes the COVID-19 pandemic, TC Harold and the fire in May where their Value City Rodwell Road branch was destroyed.

Value City had estimated that they had suffered a loss of about $600,000 because of the fire.

Chute says they have had to re-strategise their business to work towards the "new normal" without having to let go of their staff for a period of time.

Meanwhile, the outlet will also feature a cafe which will be operated by a separate entity.
