The Wallabies have been handed a major boost with the return of Fijian backrower and number 8 Rob Valetini to training ahead of their second test against the British and Irish Lions this Saturday.

Coach Joe Schmidt has confirmed that both Valetini and veteran lock Will Skelton are available for selection after missing the first Test in Brisbane due to minor injuries.

Valetini was sidelined after picking up a calf injury and missed the Test against the Fiji Water Flying Fijians and last weekend’s opening clash with the Lions.

Schmidt says both players trained strongly this week, but team management is still assessing whether they will be fully ready by game time.

The Wallabies are hoping to bounce back after their 19-27 loss in front of over 52,000 fans in Brisbane.

The Wallabies faces the Lions at 10pm this Saturday at the Melbourne Cricket Oval.
