Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed in managed isolation in New Zealand

New Zealand has two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in managed isolation facilities.

TV NZ reports both cases are people who have recently returned from overseas.

The first case is a man in his 20s who arrived from India on June 22. He has been staying at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Auckland and tested positive as part of routine testing around day three of his stay in the facility.

The second case is a woman in her 20s who arrived in New Zealand from India on 18 June. She was also staying at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Auckland.

The total number of active cases in the country is now at 16.
