Two men have died following an accident along Wailoaloa Road in Nadi this morning.

Police say the two were passengers in a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old from Lovu in Nadi.

It is alleged that the suspect while trying to overtake another car, had lost control, resulting in the accident.

As a result the two men died, while the remaining three passengers were rushed to the Nadi Hospital as they sustained serious injuries.

Director Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana says initial information gathered regarding the cause of the accident point to alleged speeding and alcohol.

Investigations continue.
