Turuva named in Rugby League World Cup Team of the Tournament

Vodafone Fiji Bati fullback, Sunia Turuva has made it to the Rugby League World Cup 2021 Team of the Tournament after his outstanding performance.

The quarter-final defeat to New Zealand saw him put in one of the best efforts in a losing side, and he was the best player against Australia in the first game.

Turuva also threw in two man of the match efforts in wins over Italy and Scotland.

He goes back to NSW Cup and the Panthers where he is hoping to have more first grade games in 2023.

Meanwhile, Toa Samoa will take on Australia Kangaroos at 4am Sunday in the Rugby League World Cup final.
