Tudravu rules out political links to recent temple sacrileges

The Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has ruled out any political affiliations that are leading to some of the recent sacrileges around the country.

This is following a few sacrilege cases earlier this year, the latest at the Vunicuicui Shiv Mandir in Labasa, where pages of the Holy Ramayan were torn.

Tudravu says opportunists are the ones who have been doing this.

He says they have received some reports of incidents like this but when an investigation was done, it was known that there was a split in the membership, and there was no political affiliation or any other.
