Tubou village in Lakeba, one of the biggest villages in Lau which comprises of about 700 people have completed filling in their forms for the proposed Draft Charter.
Village headman Sokotukivei Rasolo confirmed that they were encouraged by the Charter consultation team and most of the families have given their full support to the proposed Charter.
He added that the villagers were given time to read and understand the contents of the draft Charter and they filled in their forms on the following day.
According to the Provincial Administrator Lau, Meleti Bainimarama he said after visiting the outer islands in the Lau group for the past weeks, villagers willingly came out in numbers and they took time to sit and listen to the submissions that is covered in the proposed Charter.
He added that the people's views were also taken on board.
