Tropical Cyclone moves away from Fiji Group
A severe flood warning remains in force for all major rivers, streams and low lying areas of Viti Levu.

A strong wind warning remains in force for the Fiji Group land areas.

Tropical Cyclone Daphne was located to the far south of Fiji at 3am today.

It is moving southeast wards further away from the group.

Associated active trough of low pressure continues to affect Fiji.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Severe flooding of all major rivers, streams and low lying areas of Viti Levu.

Elsewhere, flooding of low lying areas.

Strong northerly winds with average speeds 40km/hr to 55km/hr and momentary gusts to 85km/hr.

Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.

Very rough seas.
