Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Simon Raiwalui says there will be some tough decisions made in selecting the 33-member Fiji squad that will represent the country at the Rugby World Cup 2023 in France.

He says they have a good 40 member squad currently in camp, and also talented players, but the squad will be cut to 33 next month.

Raiwalui says some positions are being contested, and all the players will have equal opportunities to put their best foot forward.

He adds it’s great they got a win against Tonga last Saturday, and it's also good to get the team into a winning habit.

The Flying Fijians will take on Samoa at 12pm Saturday in Apia, Samoa in the Punjas Pacific Battle Series.

Japan will host Tonga at 10.30pm Saturday.
