Opposition Whip Ratu Isoa Tikoca today demanded an apology from Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum for his animated actions in parliament earlier this week.

Tikoca said his actions were unacceptable.

Speaker of Parliament Doctor Jiko Luveni said it is too late to bring up the issue.

Lands Minister Mere Vuniwaqa said that whole episode in parliament had nothing to do with race and Tikoca is turning it into that by raising it in that manner.

Tikoca then demanded an apology from Sayed-Khaiyum.

Niko Nawaikula also raised the issue about Sayed-Khaiyum pointing at the member.

Doctor Luveni then said that there was a lot of pointing at each other and it needs to stop.

Tikoca also tabled some documents in parliament to back his claims about alleged corruption.

Parliament has been adjourned to 8th February next year.
