Despite the heavy rain and cold weather, thousands braved the wet conditions during the Annual Fiji Street Party with Vodafone and Legend FM to welcome 2013 in style.
As it rained cats and dogs last night, it did not dampen the spirits of the people who gathered at Albert Park to welcome the New Year as they continued with laughter, merry making and dancing in the company of loved ones.
Fijivillage caught up with some of the people on the night.
Meanwhile, organizers Total Event Company manager Loretta Jackson says they have never seen such a crowd before adding that the rain just brought the people together more.
She added that it has been another successful event and looks forward to the next Annual Street Party. Family lose baby to drowning last night.
