Easter message from the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Major General Jone Kalouniwai

This Easter as you work tirelessly in maintaining your commitments and responsibilities, I hope we can also remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves affected greatly by the ongoing repercussions of COVID-19.

This was the Easter message from the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Major General Jone Kalouniwai.

Major General Kalouniwai says he hopes we can also use this time to focus on how we can build a strong institution guided by its values and becoming barriers of hope, kindness and joy for families and friends.

He adds in carrying out duties, we all have to make personal sacrifices all the time.

Kalouniwai adds that with all of this growing sense of uncertainty, he hopes we can continue to extend our hands to love and appreciate others and provide a greater sense of security in the well being of the people.

Kalouniwai says this is indeed a season to celebrate in words of affirmation, acts of kindness, justice and good gestures towards ones neighbour and being kind and forgiving to ourselves.
