The passing away of the late Ratu David-George Leonard Toganivalu is a tragic loss to his mother, siblings, relatives and friends.

This was stated by the Marama Na Roko Tui Dreketi Ro Teimumu Vuikaba Kepa while speaking on the life of the Acting Director of Public Prosecutions and Acting Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption, Ratu David-George from Jerusalem.

Ro Teimumu says it is a great loss to the country as no one except the Lord who created him knew what his plan and purpose for Ratu David-George was.

She says Ratu David-George had shown great promise, and they all looked forward to him being confirmed in the position of Director of Public Prosecutions where people could just turn up and ask for free advice.

Ro Teimumu says such was the nature of the man but tragically this was not to be.

She adds if we didn't know better, we would be asking all sorts of questions but it is the Lord who giveth and it is the Lord who taketh; And blessed be the name of the Lord.

Ro Teimumu says all we can do whilst mourning Ratu David-George's passing is to thank the Lord for his life and pray for the repose of his soul.

She says we should also be praying for his loving family that they also find peace in their heart, comforted by the fact, that we shall all meet again in the heavenly Jerusalem.

The reguregu will be held on Thursday 5th October and Friday 6th October 2023 at the family residence in Taro, Bau.

The funeral service to honour and remember Ratu David-George’s life will be held on Saturday 7th October at 10am at the Taro Methodist Church.
