SODELPA Vice President Anare Jale

SODELPA Vice President, Anare Jale says they all thought that the kingmaker task would be something they would enjoy however it turned out to be one of the most difficult tasks they have ever undertaken.

Speaking after the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the People’s Alliance and National Federation Party to form a coalition government, Jale says he has been involved in trade union negotiations in the past but this one was the toughest.

He adds that they understand that their decision was the most critical one for Fiji.

He thanked the People’s Alliance and NFP for their interest to partner with SODELPA to move the country forward and into the future.

Jale says their decision was done through a democratic process which was through a secret ballot.

He hopes that the three parties would agree to things in a mutual way.

Jale adds that they also hope that People’s Alliance will not bully the smaller party in this coalition.

The SODELPA Vice President says that the People’s Alliance are their brothers and it is their role as the big brother to look after SODELPA.
