Tourism Fiji CEO, Brent Hill says the ability of vaccinated Fijians to be able to move around Fiji again is something that is being discussed really urgently.

While speaking during a webinar, Hill says if they can get some form of travel pass for vaccinated Fijians to be able to freely travel around the country, it will be the perfect soft opening of hotels and resorts before international travel.

Hill further says it will also mean resorts will start to get their staff back to do some of their housekeeping and maintenance work.

Minister for Tourism Faiyaz Koya had told parliament that Fiji's ultimate goal as with every other destination is to safely restore quarantine free travel.

He says Fiji’s readiness target is for a December opening.
