Tebara buses looking to set up Zippee car assembling factory

Tebara Buses Limited is currently looking at the possibility of setting up an assembling factory in Fiji for electronic Zippee Cars.

CEO Arvind Maharaj says they are exploring the manufacturing of these cars in Fiji to save freight costs.

He says their main aim is to set up the assembling factory locally and use it as a supply hub for electronic Zippee Cars in the Pacific.

There are currently two three‑wheel electronic Zippee Cars in Fiji and they are licensed to carry four passengers.

It has removable batteries and can run for 40 kilometres on full charge.

The speed limit for electronic Zippee Cars is 50km/h.
