A taxi driver is in custody after being involved in an accident which claimed the life of a 55-year-old man in Savusavu.
According to police the victim was travelling in the taxi and allegedly went off the road hitting a culvert post causing it to overturn along the Hibiscus Highway on Friday afternoon.
He was rushed to the Savusavu hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A post mortem will be conducted as investigations continue.
