Tamusua Village gets fibreglass boat worth $215,728 to enhance economic and emergency transport

Good news as the villagers of Tamusua in Yasawa will now have proper transportation after the Government of Japan provided them with a new fibreglass boat with two outboard engines worth $215,728.

The Government of Japan with this new boat will help the village deliver fish products to the main market in Lautoka and transport people in emergency cases.

They also highlighted this boat facility will boost the socio-economic development of villagers living on the island.

The Japanese Government says they have funded 423 projects valued at $32 million under Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects.
