Suva continued its unbeaten run in the Skipper Cup competition after beating Yasawa 35-23 in round 2 at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday afternoon.

Suva was tested by an unpredictable Yasawa side who gave the Capital City boys a good run for their money.

Yasawa tested Suva’s defence but Suva held their ground in the end to claim the victory scoring 5 converted tries to Yasawa’s three tries.

In the Under 20s grade, Suva proved too strong for Yasawa beating them 34-3 to also continue their unbeaten run in the competition.

In today’s Skipper Cup matches, Tailevu will take on Macuata at Ratu Cakobau Park, Namosi will play Nadroga at Thompson Park while defending champions Nadi will take on Naitasiri in the much-anticipated match of the round.

All games will kick off at 3pm.
