Shoppers should be careful going into Christmas as some supermarkets are now being investigated for overcharging its customers.
Commerce Commission Chairman, Dr. Mahendra Reddy has said that their officers started this operation randomly on Saturday in the Central division.
He added that they have noted that a few supermarkets displaying a different price on products on shelves and charging customers a different price at the cashier counter.
Dr. Reddy said that this inspection may now spread out to other divisions.
