Today is World Aids Day.
Stigma has to stop, acceptance needs to start.
Those were the sentiments of Fiji Network for People Living with HIV Aids Program Manager Jokapeci Tuberi Cati who said there are a lot of challenges facing those who are HIV positive.
With today's theme being "Universal Access and Human Rights" Cati there are a lot of ways we can help those with HIV.
Cati added general acceptance and support and funding to help prevent the spread of HIV in the country.
Latest figures from the Health Ministry revealed that 303 people are confirmed to be living with HIV.
33.4 million people worldwide are estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS.
This does not include 2009 figures.
