Serua to traditionally welcome their ‘Golden Son’ Ben Ryan
Gold Medal winning Fiji 7s side coach Ben Ryan

Upon publicly declaring that he is from Serua, our Gold Medal winning Fiji 7s side coach Ben Ryan will be traditionally welcomed to the Province of Serua at the Uprising Beach Resort on Monday.

This announcement of their welcome home celebration of their Golden Son - Ratu Peni Raiyani was made by the Serua Provincial Council committee member Alipate Natoba earlier today.

Natoba says formal celebration have taken place in major centers around Fiji and now the people of Serua and Uprising Beach Resort wish to acknowledge the achievement of the “Son of Serua”.

He says historically as part of their preparation, the Fiji 7's team used the Uprising Beach Resort ground as its base camp for the past 4 years.

The Welcome Home celebration will be hosted at the very ground where Ben Ryan and his GOLD gladiators spent time preparing for Rio Olympics, the Uprising Beach Resort grounds at 1.00pm on Monday.
