I have many wonderful memories with Communications Fiji Limited over the years.
These were the words of Vude King, Seru Serevi when asked by fijivillage News about some of his memorable experiences with CFL.
Serevi says that many singers in the past relied entirely on music to make a living.
He also highlighted that having their music played on the radio gave them the motivation to continue pursuing their musical career.
Serevi says his first song to be played on the radio was ‘Mua ni Tua’ and he recalls doing the recording at a studio in Raiwaqa, where Malakai Veisamasama contacted him, saying they were on their way to collect the song and have it aired.
Serevi says he is looking forward to taking the stage today to perform the songs that have been played on the radio throughout the years.
The CFL Gratitude Concert is underway now and will continue until 11pm at Albert Park with artists like Seru Serevi, Laisa Vulakoro, Saimoni Vuatalevu, Big Wilz, Steve Macomber, Kuki, Rosi Loa, Tom Mawi, Vegas 6, Marama, The Gang, Nicky and Ouvacast ft, Billy T, Ciwa Music – Ratu, Kaliti, Asinate and Oni as well as entertainment from the VOU Dance Company and the Bollywood Dhamaka Show from the Navtarang and Radio Sargam team and Ronald Jai.
