Senibale honoured for his service as body returns to Fiji

The late National Under-18 Assistant Coach Lasarusa Senibale has been acknowledged for his service to the nation and his invaluable contribution to youth and sports development in Fiji, as his body returned to Fiji.

Senibale had traveled with Fiji’s Under-18 rugby team on tour in Australia, and sadly passed away last week, a day before the team’s second match.

Minister for Youth and Sports, Jese Saukuru received his body on behalf of the Fijian Government at Nadi International Airport last night.

Saukuru extended his deepest condolences to Senibale’s family, friends, and colleagues, noting that his passion, leadership, and commitment to nurturing young rugby talent have left a lasting legacy.

He adds that Senibale’s unwavering dedication and love for the sport will continue to inspire future generations of players, and his legacy will live on through the many young athletes he mentored and motivated.
