Seaqaqa residents want more water carted to them during this dry weather

Residents of Navai, Lalakoro and Vunimako in Seaqaqa are requesting the Northern Divisional Office to increase their water delivery services during this dry weather condition.

Advisory Councillor of Navai, Seaqaqa, Shakuntla Singh said they have written to the Divisional office to cart water to Navai, Lalakoro and Vunimako at least twice a week.

Singh said currently they are receiving water once a week which is not sufficient.

Another farmer of Lalakoro, Shaukat Ali said apart from his family he also has to look after his poultry and vegetable farm.

He said the well in his village is nearly dry.

Nothern Divisional Planning Officer, Alipate Bolalevu said they are making full arrangements to deliver water in the remote areas on time.

Bolalevu said they are going to have a discussion with the Seaqaqa officials to solve this problem as soon as possible.

The current dry weather condition is expected to continue till November.
