Former Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has resigned as the General Secretary for the FijiFirst party.

Sayed-Khaiyum who is currently in Singapore says due to his current medical situation he will not be able to fully attend to all the responsibilities required as the General Secretary.

In a letter to the Fijian Elections Office posted on the FijiFirst Facebook page, Member of Parliament Faiyaz Koya has been appointed as the Acting General Secretary of the party.
