Sakoca woman remanded for alleged possession of drugs

The woman who was arrested during a drug raid in Sakoca last week has been remanded in custody.

The 31-year-old appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court and is charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs and one count of property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

The court remanded the woman to apply for a formal bail application tomorrow.

According to the Police, the raid in Sakoca last week resulted in the discovery of dried leaves believed to be marijuana, cash, alcohol, several mobile phones and assorted items believed to have been stolen.
