SODELPA to have another management board meeting tomorrow - Koroisavou

PA, NFP and SODELPA finalise coalition agreement

SODELPA Campaign Director, Jope Koroisavou

SODELPA will have another management board meeting tomorrow regarding the coalition decision however SODELPA Campaign Director, Jope Koroisavou says their coalition with the People’s Alliance and the National Federation Party is intact.

Following the correspondence between SODELPA General Secretary, Lenaitasi Duru and Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem, it was decided by Saneem that Tuesday’s management board meeting decision was null and void.

Duru says two members who voted on Tuesday were not supposed to be part of the meeting because they were non-active members.

Koroisavou says they are working to get that solved by tomorrow. He says hopefully, they will get things rectified by then.

People's Alliance Deputy Leader, Manoa Kamikamica says he really feels sorry for Duru because according to the SODELPA members in the meeting, Duru had verified the list of those members.

Meanwhile Kamikamica confirmed last night that the coalition agreement between the People's Alliance, NFP and SODELPA has been finalised.

While speaking in a joint press conference with NFP and SODELPA, Kamikamica says the agreement is now in the hands of the respective party leaders to have a look at while SODELPA has its own approval processes.

Kamikamica says they expect the agreement to be signed tomorrow.

He says a letter is also being signed by all the parliamentarians of People’s Alliance, NFP and SODELPA to advise the President that they are ready to form Government.

Kamikamica says they have got 26 signatures in place and three are left which is in process now.

NFP President, Pio Tikoduadua says they are happy with the agreement that they have reached which their Leader, Professor Biman Prasad is looking at right now.

He says by the way their party works, what the members endorse, normally their leader would go with that and there is no problem with that regard.

Tikoduadua says they have already signed the letter that will be given to the President and are waiting for three other members to sign it.
