Rugby Australia has announced that it will stand down 75% of its staff for three months.

Rugby Australia CEO Raelene Castle confirmed in a statement that three-quarters of the administration would be stood down from today to June 30 to keep the organisation afloat during the coronavirus shutdown.

The organisation stands to lose AU$120 million in revenue across the board.

Rugby.com.au reports that the remainder of the staff will be asked to take significant pay cuts or work at reduced hours to ensure the survival of the national body and the state unions.
