Adi Mereani Rogosau.

22-year-old Adi Mereani Rogosau never thought that she would be part of the Fijiana 7s side for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics,

Rogosau says this opportunity is a true blessing and a dream come true.

The Serea, Naitasiri woman says she was shocked when she received the message that she has made the final 15-member squad for the Olympics.

Rogosau, who is a policewoman by profession, says there were a lot of challenges that she encountered on her rugby journey and one of them was trying to balance training and work but she is grateful that it has finally paid off.

She says the first person that she informed about the good news was her grandmother who has been her inspiration all throughout these years growing up.

Rogosau says competition amongst her and other players that were in the team was really tough and she is proud to have earned a spot in the final squad.

The Fijiana 7s will depart our shores for France this weekend.

They will take on Canada at 3.30am on July 29th in their first pool match, followed by their second match against China at 7am on the same day.
