A coastal inundation alert remains in force for the coastal areas of southwestern Viti Levu (Natadola to the Coral Coast), southern coastal areas of Vatulele, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups and is now in force for Yasawa and Mamanuca groups.

The Nadi Weather Office says a high pressure and a low pressure system to the far southwest of the group is generating and directing moderate southerly swells over Fiji waters which could lead to sea flooding of coastal areas of the southern parts of the country.

There is a risk of sea flooding especially during high tides.

The Weather Office says marine related and recreational activities and livelihood may be disrupted, and debris may be washed along coastal areas and roadways.
