Ramuakalou and Tuisawana suffer injuries after 400 hurdle heats

Team Fiji athletes Meli Ramuakalou and Nikotimo Tuisawana both suffered injuries after they both stumbled during their respective 400 metres hurdles events this afternoon.

Tuisawana while running on the backstretch trailed his leg which did not go past the height of the hurdle and stumbled badly.

The fall did not dampen his spirit as he stood up and continued the race.

In the other heats Ramuakalou did not finish his race and was taken by the medical team after stumbling.

Meanwhile, in the 100 metres event today, Francis Rabakaniceva and Emosi Laqere both won their respective heats while Nathaniel Chand came second in his heats.
