Bainimarama made the allegation at his party’s campaign rally in Laqere.

While responding to Bainimarama, Rabuka says Bainimarama knows who was involved – they were Bainimarama’s soldiers.

While speaking in the itaukei language in Laqere, Bainimarama also said he read in the newspaper that Rabuka will be releasing Speight.

Bainimarama told the people that they have to be very careful of Rabuka.

He added that Rabuka is showing himself now that he took part in 2000.

Rabuka says he never mentioned Speight but was talking about everyone who has been incarcerated has the right to have their case heard by the Mercy Commission.
