Defending Coca-Cola Tailevu Zone champion Ratu Kadavulevu School will not let the rainy weather faced in recent weeks dampen their spirits as they aim to retain their title again this year.

Hundreds of athletes from the Tailevu North schools will compete for glory at the HFC Bank Stadium tomorrow and Friday.

RKS Principal, Ilaisa Waqalala says nothing is new for them this year as they have been following their usual routine of training after school hours, however, the boys have doubled their preparations.

He says 83 athletes will represent their school.

Tailevu Zone Coordinator Waisiki Koroi says 7 schools will compete in the two-day event, and it will start on Thursday at 11am and 8.30am on Friday.

RKS and Tailevu North College are the defending champions for the boys and girls divisions respectively.
