Queens road will be open to public
The Queens road will be open today as the chiefly hearse makes its way to Viseisei.

However, Fiji Police Force has urged people to plan their movement wisely.

This comes after a number of queries by the members of the public on whether the road will be open today as the funeral cortege for the former President and Tui Vuda Ratu Josefa Iloilo will depart Suva via the Queens road.

Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said their officers will be out on the roads to monitor the movement of people and has also called on villagers to also keep their animals out of the roads.

Meanwhile, one person that worked closely and shared some jovial moments with the late President, Tui Vuda, Ratu Josefa Iloilo is the Supervisor of Housekeeping at Government House.

75 year old Vilimoni Vaganalau started off as a Steward and worked with three Governors, one Governor General and four Presidents.

Vaganalau when approached by Fijivillage recalled the late Tui Vuda as his “Tauvu”.

He said Ratu Iloilo was very open to jokes especially with the people from Kadavu.
