A coordinated government approach led by the Fiji Police Force has seen a smooth running of security and traffic control during the Pacific Islands Forum meeting in Suva this week.

The Multi Agency Coordination Centre which was set up at Albert Park had the live CCTV feed from street corners from Suva to Nausori, around the meeting area at the Grand Pacific Hotel, guests accommodation, key meeting venues and other areas around Suva including aerial drone footage.

Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho says this set up has eased their operations to provide a detailed security to high level delegations at the meeting which has been an issue in the past.

Qiliho also states that they will use this system for future operations including disaster response and major events.
