Qiliho expected to speak to the Liquor Licensing Board

Acting Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho says talks will be held with the Liquor Licensing Board if incidents of drunkards causing trouble along Waimanu Road do not stop.

A brawl erupted earlier this month just outside a bar along Waimanu Road at about lunch time and a police officer had to intervene.

Many women and children were walking on the footpath and rushed off after seeing the brawl.

Many incidents have occurred outside the bar as the drinking starts at about lunch time and continues until the next morning. At times, people are seen causing trouble outside the bar and some are even seen urinating on the main street.

Qiliho says they are actively monitoring the situation and he will not allow this to continue.
