After over eight months, ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase has returned to Suva today.
Qarase arrived in a chartered flight from Vanuabalavu at the Nausori Airport just after midday today with his wife Leba.
After meeting his immediate family members at the airport, he said that he was happy to finally return to the capital city and said that he is now ready to speak to the Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama to move the country forward.
Qarase said the time for confrontation is over and he will now try to work with Commodore Bainimarama.
Qarase said he is expected to speak to SDL party officials early next week and will start preparing for the court cases.

He has revealed that it has been a great feeling for him and his wife to meet their immediate family members, especially their grandchildren.
