Punjas Medical Centre extension brings advanced healthcare to Lautoka

Good news for the people in Lautoka the extension at the Punjas Medical Centre has brought upgraded healthcare to the community.

While speaking at the event, a representative from the medical centre Rajesh Punja says when the Lautoka Hospital was shut down during the pandemic, they realized how crucial it was to have a facility that could handle emergencies and provide essential services.

Punja says this realization led them to upgrade the Medical Centre extension for X-ray facilities and an on-site lab to serve their community better.

He says transforming the centre into a tier two facility underscores Punjas commitment to providing accessible and high-quality healthcare for the people of Fiji.

Punja adds this will enhance diagnostic services and faster medical care, benefiting Lautoka and surrounding areas.

He says $2.25 million dollars was the total outlay for this project.
