Pte Vatubua to be laid to rest on Tuesday
It will be a sad reunion as the Vatubua family will be receiving the body of the late Private Joseva Vatubua which will arrive in Fiji tomorrow.

The body will be accompanied by his wife Claudette and mother Railala Vatubua.

Uncle of the late Private Joseva Vatubua, Josaia Vatubua told Fijivillage once the body arrived tomorrow it will then be taken to his uncle's place at Jittu Estate in Raiwaqa where the reguregu will be held.

Vatubua said the funeral service will be held at Vatuwaqa Methodist Church on Tuesday January 25th before he is laid to rest at the Commonwealth War Cemetery at the Reservoir Road in Suva.

He will be afforded full military honors, befitting his courage and sacrifice.

Private Vatubua was tragically killed whilst in Afghanistan on New Year's day and was the British Army casualty of 2011.

Pte Vatubua joined the British Army in 2007 and served with the distinction in the 5th Battalion the Royal regiment of Scotland.

Nicknamed Big Joe he represented the Army at Rugby 7s and was a very popular soldier well loved and respected by all.
