Prof Prasad pays condolences to the late Indian PM

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Professor Biman Prasad has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the late Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Singh was the former Prime Minister of India who passed away on the 26th of this month.

Professor Prasad praised Dr. Singh’s leadership and contributions to global economic reform.

He says Singh’s tenure as Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014, was marked by significant economic reforms that steered India onto the global stage.

Dr. Singh was a renowned economist credited with leading India through a period of remarkable growth and modernisation, having been instrumental in the 1991 economic liberalisation as Finance Minister.
